Drug Uses

Pantoprazole is usually used for short–term treatment which would take 7 to 10 days approximately for severe inflammation and erosion of the esophagus due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. Pantoprazole can also be used to treat certain complications associated with Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. 


How Taken
Remember that you use Pantoprazole as per the directions given by your doctor. In order to avoid stomach upset, do take Pantoprazole with a meal. Pantoprazole should not be taken within 4 hours of imidazoles (eg, ketoconazole).


Missed Dose
In case you miss any of doses, consult your doctor immediately. Never take a double dose to cover up the Missed dose

Pantoprazole may cause dizziness as its side- effect. These effects may even get worse if Pantoprazole is taken with alcohol or other medicines.
